'Rose Glow' is a red Japanese barberry selection that grows in tight compact habit. The new growth has a pink variegation on the deep burgundy foliage. This shrub does habit thorns and also has white blooms from April to May. 'Rose Glow' may reach 4-5 ft in height and width in 15 years. 'Rose Glow' has won the Royal Horticulture Society Award of Garden Merit.
