Acer palmatum dissectum 'Asayake'
Weeping - Purple Border - Chartreuse Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

'Asayake' is new weeping laceleaf selection that displays a golden yellow color with a purple spring border when grown in morning sun to full sun. 'Asayake' is a selection by our good friend and former president of the American Conifer Society, Neil "Ramsey" Fusillo. The name 'Asayake' means "the colors of sunrise". Fall colors typically range from bright oranges to red. 'Asayake' is fairly heat tolerant.  Typically grows to about 6-8 ft in height and 5-7 ft in width over 10 years.

The original 'Asayake' in the photos is in full sun in Marietta, Georgia.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

Acer Palmatum Asayake

I got a small Asayake last season that was doing great until a rabbit or deer ate all of the foliage and most of the stems. I dug it up in the fall and put it grow bag and put it inside my fence. This year it has leafed out beautifully a growing like a weed. I looks like a vigorous grower. Not sure of the fall color yet but hopefully will find out this year.
