'Osakazuki' is an early selection from Japan that is not used enough in the landscape. 'Osakazuki' leafs out in the spring with large bright chartreuse leaves over red petioles. Being a mid-sized green upright, this selection helps add a bright summery feel to the garden. Autumn colors are one of the brightest reds found in all Japanese maples. 'Osakazuki' reaches 12-15 ft in 15 years.
This tree gets its name from a large drinking glass in Japan that has a similar color to it as the fall color of this Japanese maple.

Both trees, Osakazuki and Moonrise, arrived well packaged and in great condition. Have ordered several one gallon trees from Mr Maple. All were about 3 - 4' tall, their trunks about as thick as a pencil, with healthy looking leaves. The pots were wrapped which kept the potting soil moist after shipping from NC to Colorado. Very pleased.
