'Rain Dance' was as chance seedling from 'Happy Dance' that was found by our good friend, Dr. Al Moseley. We have been watching and evaluating this hybrid for a number of years. 'Rain Dance' leafs out as a dark maroon, holding its color well throughout the season. The leaves are heavily divided with a soft elegant feel to the leaf. We expect' 'Rain Dance' to reach 6-8ft in 15 years. The fall color on 'Rain Dance' is a bright crimson red.

'Rain Dance' is an Acer circinatum hybrid, but definitely gets its heat tolerance from its Acer palmatum genetics.
