'Black Pearl' is new selection by our friends at Jackson Nursery. 'Black Pearl' holds its dark red color well in the sun and has a tighter more compact habit than many other dark red redbud selections. Before the dark purple red foliage appears, lavender blooms fill the branches giving a great early spring interest. In fall, 'Black Pearl' displays one of best oranges on any redbud. 'Black Pearl' may reach 15 ft in height in 10 years.
