Rhododendron austrinum x 'Andrew J Boike' is a native Alabama flame azalea. Our 'Andrew J Boike' have a nice deep yellow bloom with an orange blush. The trussles are a deep red. This gives an overall orange color to the bloom. In 10 years, this Alabama Flame Azalea may reach 6 ft in height by 4 ft in width with a multi-stemmed habit. Being an native plant, this is a great pollinator for bees and butterflies while also giving a great ornamental appeal in the landscape. Make sure to give this native azalea good drainage and a good rich organic based soil for this plant to thrive.
