Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Filip's Golden Tears' is a narrow, upright conifer with strictly pendulous branches highlighted in bright golden-yellow. Discovered as a seedling of ‘Dik’s Weeping’ by Edwin Smits, it features delicate, lacy foliage that holds its color well in full sun without burning. After 10 years, it can reach about 20 ft tall and 5 ft wide, growing up to 24 inches per year and forming a tall, exclamation-point accent in the landscape.
