Gorgeous and so pleased with the size of the trees! Gifted to my mother in law for her small collection and she was tickled.

I purchased GGW at a recent Mr. Maple Open House event. I have been looking for a maple to provide a pop of red color in my yard, but didn't want the typical Bloodgood look and feel. This one fit the bill. I know that the color will transition as the season goes on, but right now it's exactly what I'm looking for.

Also really good height on this one gallon tree, so I'm not feeling like I have to wait a billion years for it to have some presence in the yard.

i live in zone 7d now 8a they just changed the plant zones a little, and planted my 2 gallon xl which was 6 feet tall and well branched. you see it from every window in the back of the house and every morning it was a different color. it is so exciting to see what it is doing today. i also ordered a 1 gallon purple ghost and a coral bark. the purple ghost is 4 feet tall with no branching yet as it is still so young and the same thing with the coral bark. the geisha and the purple ghost do get a little shade after 4 or so but full blasting fires of hell sun and heat until then and no burning. i have heavy clay soil and keep them well watered. i do everything you are not advised to do and these trees are thriving. my only advice is if you can swing the extra cost and it is offered to get the largest one you can.

I bought this one for the intense colors and I am amazed each and every day to what colors this one brings! The new growth is so bright! I can't wait until fall and I know this one will be a jaw dropper in the spring! Thanks again MrMaple for another wonderful tree!

First time ordering a tree from an online store. I will be buying more in the future. My Gone Wild JM was shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition . I am excited to see this JM grow.
