Beesia deltophylla is a rare, evergreen woodland perennial native to China and Tibet, prized for its glossy, heart-shaped foliage that emerges bronze-black before maturing to deep forest green with striking light green veins. Reaching about 8–12 inches tall and 12–18 inches wide in 10 years, this slow-growing, low-maintenance plant thrives in rich, well-drained soil with consistent moisture and partial to full shade. Its elegant, year-round foliage makes it an excellent companion for Japanese maples, woodland gardens, and other shaded landscape settings.
