‘Elizabeth Lane’ is a native Piedmont azalea that has light pink flowers with ruffled edges and a top white petal that has a gold blotch. 'Elizabeth Lane’ azaleas grow in zones 6-8, in partial shade and well drained organic soil. Blooming in early April to early May, ‘Elizabeth Lane’ can reach up to 8 ft in height and 8 ft in width in 15 years. ‘Elizabeth Lane’ was found as a seedling from Rhododendron flammeum ‘Strawberry Ice’ and was introduced by Earl Sommerville. The flowers on ‘Elizabeth Lane’ are a great texture addition to your garden with their ruffled edges and unique color. Make sure to add this ornamental native plant in your garden!
