Carolina Sweetheart® redbud starts out in the early spring with bright pink-purple flowers that cover the branches of the beautiful upright tree. Cercis canadensis Carolina Sweetheart® has deep maroon new growth with think pink margined variegation. As the growth matures, the colors change to green on white with a little bit of pink. This creates a multi-colored effect that is quite attractive. We expect Carolina Sweetheart® to reach 15-20 ft in 10 years.

Plant arrived quickly, well packaged with no damage. It had good size and this late in the season, the leaves present were colored and healthy. Prepared the planting site, planted and watered well. Now waiing for Spring growth and that beautiful coloring.
