Larix decidua 'Cherry Valley' is a compact, dwarf European larch originating as a witch’s broom discovered in a cemetery. It features soft green needles in spring and summer that turn a bright orange-gold in fall, providing strong seasonal interest. Best grown in full sun and well-drained soil, it forms a dense, rounded habit reaching about 4 ft tall and wide in 10 years, and it is extremely cold-hardy to -50°F.
