Carpinus betulus 'Frans Fontaine’ is a faster growing narrow selection of European Hornbeam. The upright columnar habit is extremely useful in the landscape and garden. ‘Frans Fontaine’ may reach 20 ft in height by  6 ft in width in 10 years.
