'Emerald Sunset' leafs out with a bright purple-red border on a large chartreuse green leaf. This border lasts long into the season and may possibly be the longest lasting border on any Japanese maple. 'Emerald Sunset' is a selection from Nishiki Nursery in Australia.

I would expect 'Emerald Sunset' to reach 6-8 ft in 15 ft years.
