‘Washi no o’ is a pendulous green dissectum Japanese maple with tremendous fall color. This tree emerges in the spring with deep green divided leaves that are heavily dissected on the lobes, but instead of having deeply cut sublobes, this laceleaf has thin saw-like serrations on each leaf giving this laceleaf a softer and elegant appearance than most.

This green coloration lightens some over the summer to a brighter green then changes in the fall to a gorgeous golden-yellow, often hinted with tones of orange. ‘Washi no o’ grows slightly wider than it does tall and can range from 4-5 feet in height. This is a beautiful Japanese maple tree that has an amazing shape with phenomenal fall color for a combination that you are going to love. 'Washi no o' translates as "Eagles Claw", which it is also known as. 'Washi no o' has also been known under the name 'Palmatifidium'.
