Acer palmatum 'Father Watters' is a dwarf red maple known for its striking seasonal color changes. In the spring, its leaves emerge cherry red, transitioning to maroon by late spring. This compact tree typically reaches 6-7 ft in height and width over 10 years and showcases a brilliant red fall color. 'Father Watters' was discovered by Bob Mcafferty as a dwarf mutation, which he referred to as "dwarf mutation blessings."
