'Microphyllum' is a great selection of Acer shirasawanum that was introduced by Esveld Nursery from a clone in the Coimbre Botanic Garden in Portugal. The rounded foliage cups slightly upward, creating that classic full moon leaf shape. The dark green foliage turns to a nice shade yellow infused with orange in the fall. 'Microphyllum' may reach 6-8 ft in height in 10 years. This hardy, versatile maple is a great choice for any landscape, withstanding temperatures as low as -30°F. It will quickly become an integral part of your garden with its reliable and stunning seasonal colors.
