'Yayoigasa' is an Acer sieboldianum with an extra large leaf and phenomenal fall color of yellows infused with bright orange. You can see this large fanning leaf in the right phoyo. 'Yayoi gasa' is a gorgeous selection that was collected on an expedition by the US National Arboretum to the coastal areas of Japan by Creech, Meyer, and March in 1978. It should reach about 15 ft in 20 years. This tree is extremely rare in cultivation.
