‘My Mary’ is a deciduous native azalea with fragrant blooms, bright yellow in color with hints of orange around the bottom. Blooming in late April, ‘My Mary’ can reach up to 6 feet in height and 4 feet in width in 10 years. ‘My Mary’ grows with partial shade in well drained organic soil. ‘My Mary’ was a result of crossing a native azalea, Rhododendron austrinum with a Rhododendron ’Nacoochee’, a hybrid of two other native azaleas. ‘My Mary’ is a great addition to any garden, sweetly named by George Beasley, after his wife.
