Rhododendron austrinum 'Rebecca Ann' Pink and Gold Blooms

Deciduous Native Azalea

Earl Sommerville Native Azalea

Zones 5b-9

'Rebecca Ann’ is a hardy deciduous azalea introduced by Earl Sommerville and considered one of his best.  ‘Rebecca Ann’ blooms from late March through April producing pinkish blooms with a gold tint. The overall effect from a distance is a peach color. Up close you can see the attractive multicolor effect. These blooms have a sweet fragrance much like that of honeysuckle. ‘Rebecca Ann’ can reach a height of 4-6ft and spread roughly 4ft in width in 10 years. Rebecca Ann is considered a great addition to any landscape, growing well with part shade and well drained organic soils.
