‘Red Formosa’ is beautifully a beautiful bright red flowering southern Indica azalea. The dark green foliage is covered by the large bright red flowers in the spring. ‘Red Formosa’ makes a large upright shrub reaching 6-8 ft in height by 5 ft in width in 10 years. This makes this an excellent large shrub to add color to the spring garden. ‘Red Formosa’ is extremely effective  in attracting pollinators.
