Being native to Mexico, Central America, and South America, Hydrangea seemanii is a more heat tolerant climbing hydrangea than Hydrangea anomala or Schizophragma hydrangeanoides. It is also evergreen with glossy green leaves! Hydrangea seemanii is a vigorous grower. When young it is recommended to stake or begin training on what ever you would like to climb on. Once it gets going Hydrangea seemanii grows quickly and beautifully. The blooms on Hydrangea seemanii are white lacecaps, making quite a statement in the garden.
