Pinus sylvestris 'Trollguld' is a dwarf compact pyramidal Scots pine with finer, shorter needles that are fairly soft in texture. It keeps its golden foliage all year but is brighter light yellow during the winter. Sun exposure will determine just how brilliant color is. 'Trollguld' is expected to be 3 ft x 3 ft in 10 years. Brita & Carl-Erik Johansson selected the seedlings germinated from the original wild grown Pinus sylvestris 'Vargguld'. 'Trollguld' is an excellent golden dwarf pine that you will enjoy in your garden.
