'Koyosho’ is a dwarf slow growing selection of Pinus thunbergii from Japan. During the winter some light yellow variegation may be spotted across this selection.‘Koyosho’, sometimes listed as ‘Nana koyosho’ may reach 3-4 ft in height by 3-4 ft in width in 10 years. The dense compact nature of this Japanese black pine, make it extremely attractive for bonsai, growing in containers, or small places in the garden.
