'Otaki' is a popular full moon Japanese maple with with a large leaf and an exceptional bright red fall color. 'Otaki' may reach 8 ft in height in 10 years. It's best to give 'Otaki' some protection from the hot afternoon sun for best growth rate and fall color. According to Yano's Book for Maples, 'Otaki' was first recorded in 1923 by Tozuka momiji En.
