Liquidambar styraciflua βOconeeβ (Oconee Sweetgum) is a compact, rounded cultivar of the American sweetgum valued for its showy fall foliage and manageable size. It features glossy, star-shaped leaves that turn deep red, burgundy, orange, and purple in autumn. Unlike the full species that can grow very large, βOconeeβ stays much smaller and slower-growing, typically reaching around 8β10 ft tall and 6β8 ft wide in 10β20 years, making it suitable for smaller gardens or as a specimen accent.Β
