This is one of the rockstar Japanese maples that I am loving quite a bit. It has been one of those trees that nearly every customer asks about when they walk in our greenhouses, which is home to hundreds of other cultivars. 'Mila' is a fairly newer introduction from Dick van der Maat in Holland. 'Mila' leafs out in the spring as a bright pastel pink to red on leaves with an orange eye to the leaf. During the summer, this cultivar shines with summer flushes of bright reds to deep maroons. Fall colors on Mila are bright oranges to red.  This Japanese maple may reach 9-12 ft in 15 years in an upright and dense habit. 'Mila' is a colorful tree that you are sure to love.
