'Reticulatum Purple' is a Japanese maple known for its amazing variegation. When the leaves of this Japanese maple unfurl, they reveal a light red leaves with pink veins. This "ghost-like" reticulated variegation will grab any garden-goer's attention. For best spring variegation give 'Reticulatum Purple' protection from the hot afternoon sun. By mid-summer the variegation turns to a light cream mint with forest green reticulation. Fall colors are crimsons to scarlet red.
