Red 'Riley' Dark Red Japanese Maple

'Riley' is a spectacular upright red that holds its color well for us in our hot cold frames during the summer, which is a feat among Japanese maples. 'Riley' appears to be fairly drought tolerant and has a more divided leaf than many other red upright Japanese maples. Fall color is a bright orange-red. We expect 'Riley' to reach about 10-12 ft in height in 10 years.  'Riley' was introduced by Jeddeloh Farms in Oregon named after their granddaughter Riley Waters.
