'Samarzam' is a red Japanese maple that was selected for having an excellent pyramidal form with a strong central leader. The bright red leaves are maroon throughout a big part of the spring and summer. By late summer 'Samarzam' turns to a green red. By fall 'Samarzam' turns to a bright crimson red. 'Samarzam' may reach 20 ft in 15 years.
