'Tamukeyama' is a weeping red laceleaf Japanese maple. This red weeping tree is very hardy and good vigorous grower too. 'Tamukeyama' leafs out in the early spring with deep shades of burgundy. This red weeping Japanese maple tree is one of the very best for holding its dark red coloration deep into the summer.
The autumn color on Tamukeyama is a bright scarlet red. The characteristic of this Japanese maple is cascading with an umbrella-like shape. This weeping red laceleaf Japanese maple is a very old selection by Kobayashi Nursery of Japan. 'Tamukeyama' has been propagated for over 300 years and has stood the test of time.
'Tamukeyama' is a very cold hardy selection because it is late to leaf out, missing late freezes. This cultivar also grows great in high heat areas and is very sun tolerant. The color and hardiness make ‘Tamukeyama’ a perfect addition that brings timeless beauty to any location.

This is the second time ordering from MrMaple. The first one was beautiful but I made the mistake of planting it in a large pot with 1/3 compost and had a deluge of rain so it died even after transplanting it. This time I ordered the Tamukeyama high graft maple and it's doing well so far. MrMaple's quick delivery and packaging doesn't leave to much room for the tree to suffer during shipping. I recommend the company.

I buy a good amount of plants online with wildly varying results. Sometimes you get a little wisp of a plant for a whole bunch of money. Sometimes you get great plants that have near death experiences in the mail from sloppy packaging. Sometimes the retailer apparently was abducted by aliens and never returned because nothing ever shows up.
It is a rare thing to get more plant than expected, have it be super healthy, good quality, and packaged with obvious care and thoughtfulness all at the same time - but that is exactly what I experienced with my order from Mr. Maple.
