Acer palmatum ‘Tirza’ is an exciting first-time offering at MrMaple, introduced by Dick Van der Maat, who also brought us outstanding selections such as ‘Mila’, ‘Phoenix’, and ‘Isobel’. This exceptional Japanese maple leafs out with a soft lavender hue, featuring a distinctive green eye that matures into a rich green leaf accented by an elegant purple border. ‘Tirza’ is expected to reach approximately 8–10 ft tall in 10 years, forming a refined upright habit. In autumn, the foliage transitions to glowing shades of orange and red, providing a stunning finish to the growing season.
