‘Bump’, also known as ‘Bump’s Selection’ is a snakebark selection by Dr. Bump. 'Bump’ is believed to be a hybrid of Acer tegmentosum and Acer davidii. It is quite vigorous with large green foliage that turns to a bright yellow in autumn. The bark on ‘Bump’ is quite nice with heavy striations on the green bark, giving an additional winter interest. ‘Bump’ may reach 15 ft in height in 10 years.
