Japanese Maple 'Kawaii' is an attractive deciduous dwarf shrub with a low-mounding habit. Its spring and summer foliage is a beautiful orange-plum-red color and is more delicate than most dissectums. This maple is sure to draw attention with its dramatic fall colors of brilliant red and deep orange.

Hardy to -20 degrees and preferring sun or partial shade in well-drained soil, the 'Kawasuzumi' Japanese Maple only grows to 1 foot tall and 2 feet wide in 10 years, making it an ideal choice for small gardens or containers. Discovered and introduced by the Flora Wonder(tm) Collection of Buchholz Nursery, its name means "cute" in Japanese.
