Heat Tolerant

Acer elegantulum is one of Acer palmatum's close relatives from China. These are rare Acer elegantulum that were collected directly from China. Acer elegantulum are extremely heat tolerant and quite vigorous in their growth. The bronze to red new growth is quite showy with the serrated edging. The overall shape is very much like a typical Japanese maple with yellow to orange fall color. Acer elegantulum may reach 15-18 ft in 10 years.
