'Woods #2', also known as 'Ed Wood' is one of the largest leaf Acer japonicum selections of any Japanese maple. The large leaves can get quite large, sometimes 8-14 inches depending on maturing and amount of shade this full moon Japanese maple gets. Fall color can range from orange to bright red. This large leaf selection of Acer japonicum was found by by the plantsman Edsal Wood of Oregon. 'Woods #2' may reach 8-10 ft in height and width in 15 years.
