Zones 5-9

'Akaji nishiki' is a beautiful spring interest Japanese maple. In the spring, the foliage is a bright fiery pink color when it first leafs out. The upright form is quite nice, similar to that of 'Deshojo'. In the summer, the leaves of 'Akaji nishiki' turn green, sometimes revealing some speckled variegation in the foliage. New growth on 'Akaji nishiki' during the summer is a nice coral pink. Fall color on 'Akaji nishiki' is a bright pink to pink-red. 'Akaji nishiki' may reach 6-8 ft in height in 10 years. A stunning show of seasonal colors, 'Akaji nishiki' is a reliable ornamental tree that will provide vivid hues through spring, summer, and fall. Its upright stature makes it an ideal choice for adding structure to any garden landscape. With easy maintenance, you can look forward to years of enjoyment.

Beautiful Maple

I bought a 3 gallon Akaji Nishiki at the November 4th Open House. It was in fall color with bright red and pink red leaves. I planted it recently where we can see it easily from our living and dining area. If the Spring colors are as good as the fall colors this plant is big winner. I would recommend it to anyone that loves to garden
