Acer palmatum 'Asagi nishiki' Japanese Maple
Acer palmatum 'Asagi nishiki'
Rare Blue Green Variegated Relish Japanese Maple
'Asagi nishiki' has a creamy yellow variegation on a brighter green leaf. The small uniquely variegated leaves are often shaped irregular. According to Yano's Book for Maples, 'Asagi nishiki' was introduced in 1998 and is "a strong and trouble free tree". In the fall, the green portions of the leaf turn to a orange while the variegation often turns more red. 'Asagi nishiki' may reach 8-10 ft in height in 15 years.
