'Chiri hime' is an excellent dwarf Japanese maple with tight layering habit because of the short internodes between each set of leaves. The stemming and branches are a bright chartreuse providing a nice contrast with the dark forest green leaves. In the fall, 'Chiri hime' turns to bright oranges to red. 'Chiri hime' may reach 4-5 ft in height 15 years. Because of the short dense miniature habit of this Japanese maple, 'Chiri hime' is great for deck and patio planters.
