'Elmwood Spreader’ is a low weeping Japanese maple selection by Will Devine that leafs out in the spring with bronze-red dissected leaves. This contrasts nicely with the green bark on the new growth of this weeping Japanese maple. During the summer the leaves are green. Fall color can range from yellow to orange to red. ‘Elmwood Spreader’ may reach 4 ft in height by 7 ft in width in 10 years.
