'Horizontalis' is a beautiful selection of a Japanese maple with some nice horizontal growth. This selection is more well known in Australia, but is just now making its way to the United States. The leaf is a little more serrated than something like 'Jiro shidare' and the branching is more horizontal weeping than hooking. 'Horizontalis' is an interesting selection that may reach 5 ft in height by 6 ft in width in 10 years. Fall color is gold to red.
