Acer palmatum 'Kashima'

Rare Kashima yatsubusa Dwarf Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

‘Kashima’ is small rounded mushroom shape Japanese maple with yellow-green tones to the leaf in the early spring, with a pink toned margin to the new growth. The leaves on ‘Kashima’ mature to a lighter green than many other “hime” types.  The branching on ‘Kashima’ is vigorous and grows horizontally with a very dense habit. Fall color on ‘Kashima’ is typically orange to red.  ‘Kashima’ is often known as ‘Kashima yatsubusa’, the latter term simply stating the dwarf habit of this tree. ‘Kashima’ May reach 3-4 ft in height by 4-5 ft in width in 10 years. ‘Kashima’ is a great small tree for containers or bonsai. The few ‘Kashima’ we currently have are rooted cuttings.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
