'Machiyoji' is believed to be the same as 'Matsuyoi' according to the World Maple Checklist published by Westonbirt Arboretum and also confirmed by our friend and maple expert Masayoshi Yano. It has bright green leaves that turn yellow-green in the spring. Fall color is a bold orange. The leaves slightly cup downward with a sometimes twisting habit. 'Machiyogi' may reach 8-10 ft in 15 years.
