During the secondary flush of growth 'Narou nishiki' leafs out with creamy flecking variegation on a light green. In this variegation, this selection is a little like 'Ukigumo' in fact that this variegation in conditional and may not happen every year.

For best coloration give this selection morning sun and afternoon shade. 'Narou nishiki' forms a spreading upright Japanese maple that can reach 10ft in height and width in 20 years.
