'Orange Dream' is a beautiful Japanese maple with exceptional color. The leaves of 'Orange Dream' leaf out in the early spring with bright golden leaves that are outlined in bright orange red. This color contrast is striking. 'Orange Dream' is excellent as a focal point planting or when planted in combination with deep maroon Japanese maples. 'Orange Dream' can also be used to brighten dark spots in the garden. In hotter climates, we recommend giving 'Orange Dream' protection from the hot afternoon sun for best color. Fall colors are bright oranges to red.
'Orange Dream' is an Italian introduction from Gilardelli Nursery. 'Orange Dream' may reach 10 ft in 15 years becoming denser and more shrub-like with time.

We just built a new house so we are planning our landscape. We had a Japanese maple at our prior residence so we knew we wanted to incorporate some into our new yard. I thought I’d give Mr. Maple a try and ordered an Orange Dream. When it arrived it was just starting to leaf out. I was so pleased I ordered a Mikawa yatsubusa yesterday. I may try growing it in a pot.

Purchased a Acer Orange Dream in a 1 gallon container and the tree arrived the next day (I live in NC same state as the business). The tree was in very good condition and larger than I anticipated. It is February so the tree is dormant but it has lots of buds so I’m very excited about spring!
Tree arrived with leaves unscorched, beautifully colored, and remain vibrant. XL 1 gallon and it had to be staked up due to the abundance of leaves. Very pleased with this specimen.
