'Raigo ji' has deep maroon foliage in the spring time, maturing to a red-green during the summer. The fall color is a showy scarlet red. 'Raigo ji' can reach up 10-12 ft in height and width in 15 years. The habit on 'Raigo ji' is  upright overall, yet semi-pendulous on its outward branching. This selection from Japan is very beautiful and will put on a show in your garden.
