‘Nancy’ is a beautiful selection of native by Earl Sommerville. The flower trusses of blooms are a lime green before they open to reveal peachy orange blooms with a golden yellow orange center. These large trusses add an overall peach orange color to the garden. ‘Nancy’ may reach 6 ft in height by 4 ft in width in 10 years. ‘Nancy’ is believed to be a hybrid of Rhododendron calendulaceum and Rhododendron austrinum. Some think ‘Nancy’ may be a hybrid between rhododendron calendulaceum and rhododendron flammeum.  Make sure to give ‘Nancy’ good drainage and plenty of organic matter when planting.
