'Shiji murasaki' is a variegated Japanese beautyberry that is quite amazing. 'Shiji murasaki' is quite unique that the foliage that appears in the early spring is quite showy. The light green leaves are accentuated by white to creamy white variegation that are dusted across the spring leaves. Sometimes the leaves are almost solid white and green dusting variegation. 'Shiji murasaki' may reach 4-6 ft in height and width in 10 years. 'Shiji murasaki' was brought to the United States by Ted Stephens from a nursery in Osaka, Japan.
