Carolina Sweetheart® redbud starts out in the early spring with bright pink-purple flowers that cover the branches of the beautiful upright tree. Cercis canadensis Carolina Sweetheart® has deep maroon new growth with think pink margined variegation. As the growth matures, the colors change to green on white with a little bit of pink. This creates a multi-colored effect that is quite attractive. We expect Carolina Sweetheart® to reach 15-20 ft in 10 years.

Purchased and picked up (dormant) this past spring, and has been leafing out beautifully here in zone 7, afternoon shade. Very happy with this little tree.
Came in excellent condition and we planted immediately just in time for rain! Surprised by quality, arrived fully 4 ft tall and leafed out in good condition. Here is picture of current status!
