'Elmwood Pillar’ is a narrow growing ginkgo selection. It is recommended to help encourage upright growth by pruning off side branches for the first 5 years. ‘Elmwood Pillar’ has tight upright shape typically reaching 10-12 ft in height by 2ft in width in 10 years. Fall color is a bright golden yellow in the fall. 'Elmwood Pillar' has also been known as 'Elmwood', not be confused with Ginkgo biloba 'Elmwood WB'.
